Bill is a student of CoachU, the largest coaching training program in the world, and comes to coaching as an extension of his desire to help others reach their full potential and dreams. Following several years in his family’s oil and gas drilling business, Johnson Drilling Company, in its Oklahoma City office. Bill began what has resulted in more than 20 years in the field of youth ministry. Upon returning to Indiana, he completed his Bachelor’s degree at Indiana University and course work at Christian Theological Seminary. He remained instrumental in developing and implementing youth oriented programs, both as volunteer at North United Methodist Church, and during his tenure as youth minister at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church.

In the area of philanthropy and community service, Bill initiated the funding of several grants, most notably a
Lilly Endowment grant to Christian Theological Seminary for a study of wealth in the church. This grant resulted in numerous articles and a course now taught at that institution entitled "Faith, Wealth and Community." Bill also developed an idea for an inter-church, youth-oriented coffeehouse for the Indianapolis area that has attracted the support of more than 20 Indianapolis churches. Bill is on the board of director’s for the youth coffeehouse and it is expected to open during the 2001 – 2002 school year.

Bill is an avid bibliophile and has more than a passing interest in fine artwork. He enjoys the outdoors, traveling and most recently adopted a
Scottish terrier named Abbey. His coaching practice helps individuals with personal development, youth in selecting the right college as well as those who desire career coaching.
